Call yourselves a metal community. Pacman

I just got into COB at Butt's recommendation a few weeks ago. Fuckin' bitchin. Love the new album; the tracks on it are genius. Also, it's notable to mention that it breeds. I dl'd a bunch of their music, and then when I moved it to my new computer, 3 new albums and a live album consisting of one 1-long track popped up in my itunes. Pacman
Fuck yeah.

Blooddrunk is a fucking awesome album, I love it. Follow the Reaper though, as well as Hatebreeder, are the band's peak though. You will not get better melo-death/extreme power metal than that.

Also, which live album is it that you got? Tokyo Warhearts or Stockholm Knockout? Pacman

Nosturi... I believe I've seen that. Wasn't the band's best show. If possible, see if you can get a hold of the audio bootleg Live in Belgium 2001. It's them on their Follow the Reaper tour.

Also, get Tokyo Warhearts, hands down the best live album I've ever shelled out money on.

I'll look those up.
Again, absolutely no idea where those live CDs came from. Seriously. Teach

My favorite band ever! The only reason I didn't start this thread is cause I didn't know where to put them tbh. Blooddrunk is definitely a fucking good album. Their best since Follow The Reaper. I'm really looking forward to Skeletons this fall should be sweet!

I'm looking forward to Skeletons in the Closet as well. Here's hoping it's not just a compilation of their older covers (if I had my way, there would be NO already-released covers on there).

You have told me this many times, and I have told you many times they have already stated they WILL be releasing new covers. But then again..........now that Alexi has fucked his shoulder up again that might change.........

New covers = awesomeness. In my little folder of awesome tracks, 27 of them are CoB. 11 Covers (or is Knuckleduster actually a cover?). Sure, that doesn't sound like much, but in ~600 tracks, they've got the highest amount in there.

Knuckleduster is an original song, actually. I'm not the biggest fan of Knuckleduster tbh.

I really love Bodom's covers of Aces High (way to make Maiden tolerable lads :headbangSmile, and Silent Scream (just awesome).

Aren't COB more of a thrash band? Doesn't really matter.

I used to be a bigger fan than I am today, but I still put on "Hatecrew" and the newest record from time to time. Alexi actually sent me a personal "thank you" for the review I did of Blooddrunk. Headbang

That's badass man. I'd say they are more death metal though, maybe even power metal.

Little bit of BM influence in there, too. They transcend a few different genres.

Very true. One of the best things about them is their ability to fuse the best of a lot of different genres and make a sound all their own.

Itunes calls it "Symphonic Death Metal", which seems pretty accurate.

That sounds right. I think the addition of the keyboard as harpsichord makes their sound quite unique.
