I'd like them not to stop sending personal aid services and materials to countries and people that need it. They're not completely impractical. Problem is a lot of concepts have gone personal.

I'd like them to stop telling thousands of people contraception is immoral and thus contributing in the spread of various Sexually transmitted diseases.

I could go for hours here but won't because I don't have time, but there's a thousand reasons why religions are immensely dangerous. However this doesn't means all religious people are mad, far from it. My parents are Christians and they're awesome, and so are a lot of people I know. But socially speaking, in term of collectivity, the risk of having assholes shoving the bible down people's throat is far too great.

The book is pretty nice btw

There are various ways of contraception; some borderline make you cringe and some are okay by Christian standards. But you also have to take that message not just in face value. If this is about the current Catholic pope I have a problem with his way of conveying his messages and lack of elaboration. I'm not really a fan of him. This is a problem I have with a lot of religious people, that being they usually use language that's either confusing or very minimal and expect people to understand them. It's really annoying. From reading various newspaper articles with the issue of contraception/spread of HIV I think the general stance of Christianity is pro life and that you have to develop self-discipline and not go fucking everyone. My real gripe with this message is that I don't even know if they teach how to develop mental and self-discipline. Then again I'm not particularly religious so that says something too. If you want to know more about their stance you have to do some study.

Also, people should have more faith in others in not being mindless zombies and following everything a religion says and vice versa. I know it happens, in all areas such as politics, etc. including religion. But most right minded people take everything with a pinch of salt and do more answer seeking than going by a say so.

Just wondering, has anyone here seen the Zeitgeist documentaries?

Not actually reading it but at my buds place tonight I read the first chapter and a half of "The Greatest Show on Earth: Evidence for Evolution" or whatever its called, by Richard Dawkins. I wanna fucking get that book... what little I read of it was really great.
