I am looking for more music to add to my drving play list, right now it made up mainly of Iced Earth and Pantera with bits of Killswitch Engage, Dream Theater and some others thrown in.
I need some more fastish stuff like My Own Saviour -Iced Earth and more slow heavy stuff like Death Rattle and Hellbound by Pantera.
Any good recomendations?
I really don't see Dream Theater being good driving music. Seeing as one song would get you to the place and back.
I live miles the hell from town, DT songs get me half way there. Now do you have recs?
Well, let's see. You've got some power/thrash with Iced Earth, so check out Flotsam and Jetsam. There's also just traditional power metal; Blind Guardian, Jag Panzer, Helloween, etc.
Exhorder is like Pantera but way better. I highly recommend them.
I don't really listen to Killswitch Engage or much other metalcore, but you should try Soulgates Dawn. They're great.
As for slow and heavy, look no further than doom metal: Candlemass, Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Solitude Aeturnus, etc. They're not much like Pantera, but basically the definition of slow and heavy.
Doom Metal while driving ? Not sure it's a great idea
I recommend Alestorm and Steel Panther.
Oh and don't forget Riders of the storm of course, in case of rain at night on a lonely dusty road.

I wouldn't know. My listening habits don't change at all in the car.
The only way mine changes is that I dont listen to nightwish or dragon force etc. while driving, doesnt fit.
Driving Music was first born in 2007, as an outlet for the music I was writing after my former, long lasting punk rock band broke up. You can choose these, Rolling Stones, The Beatles, and The Who. Great driving songs that you can sing along to. They are all great and nice so I hope you will like that.
