I have only recently discovered this German folk metal band but I am glad I did. Their recent release ...Zum Tode Hin after a few listens is quickly becoming one of my favorite albums of 2009 so far. It consists of only 5 songs but still manages to last for over an hour.

This is actually really good.

My only complaint (and this is my complaint with a lot of folk metal that uses these instruments), is that the little flute melody or whatever the fuck it is, would sound a lot better played on guitar IMO.

I personally like the flute and other folk metal instruments. Gives things a nice little change of pace. Plus that accordion just makes you want to drink some beer! And I don't even like beer!
